They come right out and admit that the chocolate they use is private brand, but they do give a comparable listing. They also say they use half dark chocolate, half au lait. Then they say "chacun à son goût" which means...I have no clue what that means.

Serendipity's Frozen Hot Chocolate BLEND:

1.5 level teaspoons of sweetened Van Houton cocoa and Droste cocoa

1.5 TBL sugar

1 TBL sweet butter

1/2 C milk

3 Godiva flowers, dark and light chocolate

1/2 ounce each of:

Callebaut

Valhrona

Lindt

Cadbury

Anton Berg

Freia

Marabo

Giradelli

Cocoa Barry (solid)

If you are prepared to got to hell with yourself, add a single Feodora Schokolade and a couple of Ritter Sports.

Melt two cocoas with butter and sugar over a double boiler until creamy.

Add remaining chocolates and melt slowly, drizzling in milk and stirring until well-blended.

Cool to room temperature , then follow the recipe for Frozen Hot Chocolate, substituting 1/2 C milk for 1/2 pint milk.

I have NO CLUE what that last sentence means either.

Here's their recipe for Frozen Hot Chocolate

1 generous ladleful* of FHC Blend
1 C milk
2 C crushed ice

*They don't say how much this is, but I'm betting it's a soup ladle, which is 1/2 C.

Process in blender until smooth, pour into wide-mouth stemmed bowl, top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

Wow. That's a lotta chocolate. Me thinks all the chocolate went to their heads

and they started to ramble on about it and went to hell with themselves. I've heard of death by chocolate I think this maybe crazy by chocolate!

I think their recipe is what makes folks give up and go buy it instead

"Cool to room temperature , then follow the recipe for Frozen Hot Chocolate, substituting 1/2 C milk for 1/2 pint milk."

And that statement gets even more crazy because the recipe for the Frozen Hot Chocolate calls for 1 cup of milk.

Clearly they forgot to wear their protect foil hats when making this over the years, maybe it's where the term "it's crazy good" came from??
