I'd like to watch for good sales for you but I don't know what you have up there. I don't have most of these so don't know what they are like but if you have Food Lion for instance they have chicken leg quarters for .69# this week.

BI-LO has Gold Star Chicken Leg Quarters, 10 lb. bag, 89¢ lb. That's a decent price.

 
ah....Publix and Winn/Dixie. Told you I lived in a culinary wasteland.

There are Aldi's in Orlando, but I'm in a commuter van so I can't go shopping when I'm working.

 
Yeah, me too but I do have a couple of small stores locally that

I keep track of. Like Doris Italian Market that I just got the chicken leg quarters at .69# least week. They only have 4 stores from Tamarac to Pembroke Pines. Maybe you have a small store that does weekly sales that you can watch. The food section of the area newspaper usually has sales ads for them. So anyway, this week Winn Dixie has Legs OR Thighs for BOGO. Here's how it reads:
Chicken Drumsticks or Thighs, Value Pack (3 lbs+), at $2.49 ($1.24) lb
Translation...two 3 lb. packs at $2.49 but one is free so that means you are actually paying $1.24 a lb for the two packs. Not great but at least a savings. They also have Split Chicken Breasts, Value Pack (3 lbs+), $1.99 lb. (not BOGO) These have the breast bone attached so you have to take that off but with these you get the tender which I remove and package 6-8 together and use the bones to make stock. More time consuming than you have time for but I'm a Domestic goddess so I have the time and I also usually buy these when they are BOGO for a better deal. Nothing really good this week.

 
For the BOGO check to see if you MUST buy two to get the

sale price. Harris Teeter changed their policy several years ago and it rings up at half price, as it also does at BiLo and other stores.
