Marilyn - here's an amazing gingerbread cathedral made by Duchess Bake Shop in Edmonton, Canada

pffth....click on the link to see the model I downloaded for my first GBH.

THIS IS FOR REAL. I ACTUALLY THOUGHT ABOUT MAKING NOTRE DAME OUT OF GB THAT FIRST INSANE YEAR.

But back to your post...their version is stunningly beautiful. They probably printed the windows on rice paper with the edible inks available now.

Bet they're not worried about humidity. I'll bet THEIR candy canes didn't melt into pools resembling black blood.

(I TOLD you guys this stuff was all real.)

Dear Diary: Today, in a burst of enthusiasm, I downloaded a scale model pattern of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. I will—of course—use the approved gingerbread recipe.

Sanity has checked back into the facility. Instead of a cathedral, I’ve decided to make a 16” house with a roof covered in white chocolate seashells. Won’t that be pretty!
