Marilyn, I'm finally going to open up one of those pkgs of cinnamon chips that I have been hoarding

Thought I would add them to a nice chewy oatmeal cookie for my ditch day from work on Friday. I'm ditching to go sew with 4 friends all day and want to bring a goodie. Do you ever put them in cookies, or are they too intense?

Not Marilyn but I made oatmeal cookies with cinnamon chips last week. The chips were small I

left out the cinnamon that the recipe called for. The cookies were fantastic. I'll post the cookie recipe if you would like.

No! Believe it or not I don't care for raisins. Not even in oatmeal cookies. If I do use rasins in a

recipe it is usually golden raisins. They taste a bit milder.

Ang, I sprinkle them (with chocolate chips as well, of course) on top

of Cafe Beaujelais's Coffee Cake.

And I've used them in shortbread.

PS: I posted the torte cake that goes along with the non-dairy fluffy icing above. Not sure if you saw it.

Thanks. Yes, I saw the cake. Lovely special occasion cake.

I think I'll make it for DH's birthday in June.

Oh...I'd do a test check on the icing first, sweetie. My hub doesn't like it

straight...although he never complained when it's on the cake.

I'd hate his BD cake to be screwed.
