Thanks you so much for sending me the recipe. I will study it and the Julia Child one and probably end up with my own version (imagine that).

Just finished the Mostarde and it is beautiful. What a great suggestion. Although the instructions on the mustard oil were a little too cautious me thinks. 15 drops is less than a 1/2 tsp. I ended up putting in 4 tbls. and it's still quite mild. Maybe it will zip up during the storage. LOL

LOL. I swear it wasn't hot, but then...

I have the mother of all upper respiratory afflictions now so maybe my tastebuds were dead two days ago. We'll find out on New Year's! Perhaps I'll make a little fireworks of my own! smileys/smile.gif
