Marilyn, what did you end up taking to the library party?

If it hasn't happened yet, how about a cake in the shape of an open book? No, you're way more creative than that. I thought I posted this already, I guess I just thought about posting it!

I like your mini-cupcake idea, with a little book afixed on the top with a stick, person's name on the book.

Little mini-cheesecakes, nothing "library" about them, but people seem to love these.

Treasure chest cake, as someone said, with edible candies (necklaces, rings, etc.) was in a recent issue of Woman's Day (I think it was WD, maybe Women's World).

If it's already been, how did it go?

Not until April 3, D. I'm still toying with a few ideas

I may do the same carrot cake format as the giraffe baby shower cake (8" + 6" tiers). I gave Larry a little cask years ago and I bought gold coins to fill it up, plus long strands of gold and silver beads.

Then yellow cupcakes filled with pastry cream and an icing swirl. A round scallop paper cut-out printed with each volunteer's name and the slogan (We Treasure our Volunteers) on some sort of stick and stood upright in the cupcake.

Just found the paper punch today, the circle Avery printable template and 3 lbs of peanut M&M to use as ground cover.

Still working on games. A friend of a friend wrote a macro to scramble the words for me so I can do as many as I want now. Seeing them scrambled made me realize I needed to use some EASIER ones since it was hard for me and I knew the words.
