Marsha - I made the Green Zucchini Speckled Cookies at #9992 today....

Cheez, thanks for the review.....the lady from where this recipe came from is a great cook and

everyone is always asking for her recipes. She's quite elderly now, though, and doesn't cook like she used to.

I feel so bad you took the time to make them and they were that bad! I cringe!!!

I will delete them from my to try list!

No, you can go ahead and make them... I'd be interested in a second opinion!

Not every recipe is a winner and even as bad as something might be, IMHO, there will ALWAYS be someone out there who loves it smileys/smile.gif

Cheez, if I make them, they will be different 'cause I don't use sugar anymore...I would

probabl use agave nectar and I rarely use butter anymore, so I probably would use applesauce in place of the butter....

That's why I'm making more raw treats because of my husband's high sugar issues. I always start with oats and then add whateve a cookie recipe calls for and the treats come out really well.

I told my husb I guess I could make deserts the regular method, freeze them in little bits and have a bit once in a while; but I know me, I'd be in there eating every bit of it in short order.

I sent your note to Betty's best friend, who is in touch with Betty often to see what they say about your comments. One time she gave me a recipe for sourdough something or other and whatever it was wasn't coming out at all, she lived in Fla then. I called her on the phone and she realized she'd given me the recipe for something entire different. Too funny...

I just realized your link is to the cookies that Donna in the veget. group makes. Here is the

recipe from Betty. I've posted something here already from Betty but I don't recall at the moment what it was, I was assuming (which I know one should never assume anything) that you were referring to her recipe.

Try this one....I would think it would be better because she, as I said, is always asked for her recipes.

Betty's Zucchini Cookies

1 cup grated zucchini
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
mix above together well.

blend the following dry ingredients together:

2 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins

blend wet and dry ingredients together.

Bake at 350, 12-15 minutes on greased cookie sheets

Yes - this is a VERY different recipe! OK, I've copied it to my 'to try' list smileys/smile.gif
