In post #31651 I asked about freezing uncooked meatballs. To report back I did indeed make these in advance and froze them uncooked. I thawed them the morning of our get together and cooked them a couple of hours ahead of guests coming. I gently reheated them to serve. They held up very well.
I adapted the recipe by: using half pork and half beef. I didn't make the sauce. I served them as appetizers and they were very well received. People all asked for the recipe.
I'm a big fan of the hoisin meatballs at Serious Eats but these were a welcome change.
