I just know you posted this for me....I am related to this particular lover of Amontillado

Ahhh, the cask of Amontialldo....

Did you know, right outside Cincinnati, there on the banks of the mighty Ohio in Point Pleasant near the mouth of Big Indian Creek at the Ohio River, sits the little cabin where little Ulysses was born?

It was a long, long, long way to the White House from there I can tell ya'!

I used to drive by it up the river on my way home from the city. I always looked, gave a nod and said, "here's to a good ol' southern Ohio boy who made good."

Now about those relations and Amontillado...

And speaking of relations...

My great-grandmother was a daughter of the Foster clan on the mother's side. Her family name was Heil. She was the niece of Stephen, of the Ohio Foster clan, who had residence in Cincinnati during most of his fame. She used to tell me stories...

Does it amaze you, that way back then, there were such gourmands on this side of the world? I am

quite impressed. Even without accents, quel menu!

Oh Marg...

yes we have the evidance that they ate French Food in the White House, but the problem with Americans is that they always held that as a grudge.

Is eating good such a bad thing???

Freedom Fries anyone?!?!?!!?!?
