This is to be a very quiet Christmas for us since entertaining for me is out of the question just now. Three weeks ago I had my second knee replacement surgery. We'll be 3 for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner and tomorrow's Christmas celebrations will be at the home of my husband's sister.

Ian has been a fabulous caregiver.......doing all the shopping, cooking etc. I consider myself blessed indeed.

 
Have a wonderful quiet time and get well soon. I too am having a quiet Christmas and loving every

minute of it. All gifts purchased, sent and received, no major cooking to do just contributing one dish to a festive dinner tonight. It feels divine after all those frantic years. I'll put my Christmas music on today and bake one more batch of orange/toasted pecan biscotti as a hostess gift for this evening. Merry Christmas everyone.

we are making Beef Wellington for our meal, four individual servings, it will be hubby, me, stepson + girlfriend.

they leave very very early tomorrow, which in a way will be lucky, we are expecting a snow storm.

Merry Christmas Sylvia and all those who celebrate! Tonight we are off to the home

of dear friends, sort of an open house, lots of food, lots of folks, tons of fun! The next couple of days will be with DH's family and I declined to be in charge of the cooking!!! I will just be helping out and am very happy to have that role.

Here's hoping everyone has family and dear friends to spend the holiday with. Merry Christmas all!
