Merry Christmas to all my friends here, and to all of you who don't celebrate the Christmas...

...holiday, I wish you all the best this coming year.

We have a very special group here, and thanks to Mimi and Paul, we are still together. Like all things in life, this forum is fragile and someday we may lose touch and go our separate ways. If that happens, please know how much your friendship and fellowship has meant to me and my family over the years.

I was amazed at the number of recipes that have become family favorites over the holidays that have come from this group! When I look at my recipes and notes from 1996 (the year I found many of you over on Gail's Swap) and compare my "body of work" in th kitchen now, it has been an amazing transformation.

I ask God's blessings on all of you, and on your families as well. Please know that I will never forget the friendships I've made here, and my family will carry your recipes into future generations as well.

Peace to you all,

Michael

Thanks, Michael. I wish you and yours and all our Forum Family God's richest

blessings for this coming year. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year.

Michael it's a good bunch of cooks here...

and the collected wisdom, knowledge, and experience is worth a gold mine in our kitchens. I too have many now T&T favorites gleaned from the swap. I know that many recipe posts have gone by without a try, because, let's face it, we can't cook that way all the time. I am so glad you had a joyous Christmas with your loved ones. And let's face it. Our food IS our love.

I think it might be a good idea to have the annual "what did you post that you think is wonderful that got no comment or try..." We've all had them. People miss them, and people are busy. A second (or third) reminder wouldn't be a bad thing.

Let's start a second look for some old favorites in the new year.

And another thread might be...

"what T&T favorites from the swap are now part of your kitchen repertoire".

To name a few off the top of my head:

Cathy's Laarb
Sylvia's Oyster Roll
Traca's post of camarones al mojo de ajo by Rick Bayless

And so many more...
