Have you tried Bessinger's Chocolate Truffles? If not, have you heard of them? I found some online for $150 bucks, marked down to $37 at Barney's NY (online), plus free shipping. I haven't been shopping too much lately with the bad economy, but these chocolates are calling my name!

You got to love these after-holiday deals.

Check around their site and see if Barney's was ramping up the price a lot.

I just ordered a $70 gift package from Harry & David and the final cost (with free shipping) was $21. I made sure my option had fresh fruit and protein--as well as the "well, obviously!" chocolate.

One thing about truffles is they do expire...the cream in the ganache is probably the reason

for the steep discount.

 
I checked Bissinger's site and Amazon, and the price for 24 truffles is $32.00, so this "sale"

at Barney's sounds bogus, unless there's a lot more than 24 truffles in the box. I found one review online, and it's a good one. I've never heard of them, but I'd say it's worth a try. If you order them, let us know how they are! Here are some links to check out:

 
Thanks for the help. I might have had more luck if I could spell it correctly.

The $37 might be a bargain considering the dark chocolate box and white chocolate peace sign atop the truffles, and no shipping. But now that you have opened my world (and helped my spelling), I will probably have to try Bissinger's with or without free shipping. I'm sooo cheap. Paying shipping is about the biggest commitment I make to anything!

 
I tried to photo-shop a chocolate ring around supermeryl's face, Then it would have looked like her

I just couldn't figure out how to do it~ then... I was going to put a big hershey's chocolate bar standing next to her with a cape with a big letter "C" on it~ I just couldn't get it to work, I tried real hard, too bad, I wanted to catch the real Supermeryl
