Hello Traca, I posted another reply to you at post #5241. I'm so glad you liked the cake!

It's my husband's favorite chocolate cake, and I make it every year for his birthday.

 
Love the proportions in the cake (more sugar then flour, extra yolk..etc.) Can tell it is super rich

can't wait to make it!

I would have thought that too but the filling and the frosting were

even richer! Next time I make the frosting (and I will), I'll cut the sugar back by about 1/4 cup. My thinking is that it won't be quite as sweet and allow the flavors of the cake to come forward more.
