My BIL got married last Sunday. His bride is from Japan, and more than a dozen of her friends came to my FIL's house in San Diego for a barbecue lunch on Friday. Some came straight from the airport to our house.
We served steak and shrimp along with a green salad and Mexican Rice. (Yeah, Mexican Rice was a special request!). I also made Mexican Street Corn Salad, using Trader Joe's frozen Fire Roasted Yellow Corn.
The Japanese folks LOVED the rice and the corn salad! Total raves!
It went so fast that I was asked to make a quadruple batch for the family for eating over the weekend.
