Michael, I'm doing your marinated fruit salad. If I add blackberries, blueberries, kiwi

Sorry, cheezz, I just saw your question. I've never used those fruits or berries...

so I can't be of much help. I would guess that the blackberries and blueberries could stand the longer marinading but not the kiwi. I have never used fuyu persimmon in anything so I don't know the texture of the fruit.

 
Thanks Michael..I winged it and it was the BEST fruit salad ever - YUM!!!

I kept out the blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and Chinese Yali pear until this morning but I think the pear would have done well adding it overnight.

I used oranges, pomegranate seeds, fuyu persimmon, pineapple, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, pear, kiwi. I did not have kirsch (discovered this late in the day) so I used a green apple tequila I brought back from Mexico. I also added 5 cardamom pods. Oh. My. People were looking for straws smileys/smile.gif
Thanks for this great recipe, now a permanent part of my repertoire.
