fine Seattle adventure with Traca.

Made a version of the Southwestern Salad--was prepping when I relized I didn't have the jicama. Although it is better with it, it was very, very good. was thinking a seeded cucumber could be used, but my cuke was not in good enough shape.

The grains cooked to a sort of redish amber color and have a little chewier texture. I have a recipe for a quiona risotto I think I will try next time.

you know quinoa does have that little eye thing going on, see what you mean, but damn it's good.
