I watched endless episodes of "Hee Haw" growing up. My Dad loved it.
Did you ever see Grandpa Jones recite the litany of country dishes when asked, "Hey Grandpa! What's for supper?"

Me too. And I actually saw a demo of how to roast a possum at the
Texas Folklife Festival when I was a kid. Just looked unappetizing and kind of greasy the best I remember.

...furniture factory in San Diego. They're very common there.
I went out to the lumber yard to find a certain pile of black walnut for a table I was building. The lumber was stored in the open air, covered with blue tarps. I lifted the edge of one of the tarps and came face to face with a rather large, hissing oppossum, complete with a needle-nosed mouthful of glistening toothies.
I'm not sure which one of us was more surprised, but I guarantee I know which one of us had to change his shorts!
