There are some that get by my pop-up blocker and I don't know why they do.

I love Better Homes and Gardens, but will not visit that site because of their pop-ups. I don't know the names of the type of ads, but the stationary ones don't mess up my computer, but the ones that use flash or Adobe, mess it up.

Recipezaar just introduced ads to their site, and I hate them. End of rant.

I agree with you re. pop-ups. I do use them on Christmas-cookies.com but whenever I remove them (and I have tried several times), my revenue drops significantly and that site is pretty much my entire yearly revenue. But it's not the kind of site that you visit over and over. You get Christmas cookie recipes once a year. I would NEVER, personally, put pop-up ads on a forum! I can't 100% guarantee anything with this website because I don't own it, but there's no plans for putting pop-ups on this site and I'd be astounded if it ever happened. Hope that helps! :eek:)
