Missy...how was the bacon jam????

Good but not quite what I expected....

With my uncle's wife in the hospital here since Dec. 22nd, I haven't had spare time to play around - been cooking him meals (and her once she got out of ICU and could eat), washing his clothes and visiting so that has taken WAY too much of my time. The ambulance left with her this morning to transfer her back to Mississippi to continue therapy and get her back on her feet so now the playing begins. I think I can improve on it - or come up with something like what I thought it was going to be. I like it but I have something else in my head.

I am definitely becoming known for being the bacon lady!

Are you looking for something sweeter? And sorry to hear about the family...

It's so lovely that you give them a hand...I can't wait to hear what you come up with once you get back to playing in the kitchen!

Oooh! Forgot to tell you...I met up with Chef Jason Wilson today. We're collaborating on a major

project. Oliver Ranch has fabulous steaks and apparently you can taste the terroir variances in the meat. The owner is flying in town and Jason and I are planning 3 tastings...one for 60+ chefs, a dinner for bloggers, and another dinner that's open to the public. I'm so excited. Jason's amazing....
