Hope all is well as well

But the current update from the Los Angleles Times looks promising:

Striking at 10:33 a.m., the magnitude 6.4 temblor was centered about 125 miles northeast of Los Angeles in the remote Searles Valley area near where Inyo, San Bernardino and Kern counties meet. It was felt as far away as Ensenada and Mexicali in Mexico, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Reno and Chico, Calif.

Authorities said there were no immediate reports of deaths, serious injuries or major infrastructure damage, though emergency responders were still inspecting areas around the city of Ridgecrest.

All well in San Diego area

The quake was far north of us so only visitors in highrise hotels felt anything.
My LA cousin said they felt a slow roll but not bad, thank God. They know from quakes, having been in the Northridge one.
Pray all is ok with FinerKitchens family closer to the center.

All cool here--the quake hula'd at our house. . .

I was sitting on a stool, peeling potatoes for salad and started to feel dizzy, like I was slowly going to fall over dizzy. Husband then says "Feel the earthquake?" It hula'd on for a bit more and ended. It was a very slow roll, and it sneaked up; no jerks or shaking, just slow hula. It seemed to go on for a while after, but nothing hurt here.

Epicenter was out in the desert by Ridgecrest California--up the 395, a couple of hours away.

Thank you for asking.

OK here - I am in south LA County, and we felt both of them here, Friday was the worst.

Both times I was in my living room, and it rolled so much and for so long we moved to the doorway and then considered going outside.

My lamps and hanging fruit baskets were swaying quite a bit, and the KA bowl that my daughter left in the sink from making cookies was making a racket as it rocked back and forth.

I will say it is quite unnerving!

My neighbor was out on his evening walk during the Friday event - he didn't feel it, but noticed a gush of water rushing down the gutter, and then another one soon after. A guy was standing in his yard and said "Did you feel it? That is water splashing out of my pool!!!"

Crazy how the earth moves, and far out you can feel it.

We've had several up here since your episode. It has started me searching for info on safety. The

previous one of any size 6.7, I think, and very close, had all the venetian blinds rattling, the windows crackling and my crystal tinkling. Sounds like a symphony but it sure was not.

No kidding. A friend in San Diego felt it big time and moved to the doorway while wife who was home

15 minutes away closer to the epicenter didn't feel a thing.
