maple-brown sugar cupcakes and also Meryl (who else?!)'s Hershey's Black Magic chocolate ones in the oven from h&ll right now and they turned out very good. This morning I made chocolate fleur-de-lis and horseshoes and they look cute - thanks for the tip about the chocolate, Mar.
I bought some Wilton squeeze bottles for the chocolate and it worked like a charm. I also found a local bakery who sold me some of their sugar footballs for 5 cents a piece. So far these cupcakes are costing me about $1.50 each to make (well, almost!) but they turned out pretty good, and I'm keeping about 10 of them for kids coming with parents on Sunday.
'Will post a picture tonight if anyone's interested. The fleur-de-lis look a little like ghosts (or anchors, depending on which way you're looking at them!) but hey, the horseshoes are passible.
