Moyn...how's the new cooktop? Mine is arriving on Tuesday. Fingers crossed

The cooktop is gorgeous, Marg.. Altho, we too, had a bit of
a problem with the space. It measured exactly, but the new one is just a smidgen wider, so, Teddy had to get to work, with his saw, & make the opening larger. Unfortunately, he began, before I could prepare & there was sawdust everywhere.
He had actually asked me if I wanted a whole new kitchen, before we began replacing these appliances, & I didn't. After hearing all the horror stories, from friends, etc. I'd feel comfy living with my white formica countertops (which could actually be replaced with granite, easily enough)...& cabinets. Even if I redid the kitchen, I'd do a white & black scheme, and the thought of eating out for 3 or 4 months, until these guys finish the job, is appalling to me.
They didn't have time to install the ovens on Friday, so I expect them back at 9 this A.m to finish that part.
Now I must read the books & learn to work these things, with all the new features.

Same scheme. Mine is all white, and I would like black
countertops as I now will have a black cooktop rather than the white one. I'm not sure that the kitchen floor will hold granite without a lot of extra support, so for now, I will have to adjust to this big black thing on the counter.
