Music City Missy...I made the Zucchini Faux Crab Cakes that you

I made some for lunch today too

They remind me - I know some people are going to groan here - of the old frozen stuffed crabs we had when I was a child. It was one of my favorite things to have.

Got a question for the vegetarians here.... eggs??

I see vegetarian recipes that often include eggs... not, this is, basically, a chicken. So, how can that be included in a veggie diet?

Most vegetarians will eat eggs - MOST, not all.

Surpisingly, I've found that even a lot of vegans even don't mind an egg here or there to bind something.

I think the whole vegetarian/vegan thing is really getting around to trying to be healthier, avoid hormones and such so they call themselves vegetarians/vegans but they aren't as strict about it as I used to think of them being. Or at least that is what I see in most of them around me.

As I understand it, a vegetarian does not eat flesh foods. A vegan eats no animal products at all.

So while a vegetarian might eat eggs, cheese and other dairy products, which do not involve the slaughter of the animal, vegans eat only plant-based foods.

Like Missy, I find there are all different degrees of strictness. I'm a card-carrying omnivour, but I believe we could all do well to eat less meat and more plant-based foods, for our own health and for the health of the environment.

Just don't serve me margarine!!!
