Mussels. Anyone eaten them after they have been frozen raw? I froze some as I

just had too many. I did not cook them. I used to buy them regularly in a bag, frozen, PEI mussels, with all the broth in the bag. Into the microwave, they were outstanding. Now I wonder, were they actually cooked. There seem to be so many differing opinions on whether they should be frozen without first cooking.

I don't think I've ever encountered so many differing opinions on the safety of a kitchen technique.

I think I'll put these out for the raccoons and get some fresh for dinner tonight, but I would like to know if anyone is still alive after eating such things.

I agree with you about the differing opinions. I did not know mussels were even frozen

raw until reading it somewhere--maybe here. To be honest, I would not freeze them at home.
