My Fourth of July Visitor tonight..... Warning: Not for the faint of heart!

Due to the rain down here this evening, I didn't attend the fireworks with FloriBoy. Hopefully, there's a rain date for tomorrow.

I enjoyed watching the fireworks on the Hudson River in NYC on TV and then watched Jimmy Smits host PBS' annual show.

I heard some (what I believe) to be kids in my development fire off some fire-quackers right outside so I opened the door briefly to see and of course, I missed their beauties because I was watching TV and my timing was off. In addition, it's not good to open your door at night with all of the bugs flying around. Well, I noticed a very distraught baby lizard running into my living room! The poor thing was trying to get away! He/she was only about 1.5" long and I managed to capture it with a Styrofoam cup and half a paper towel over top. I placed the lizard out on the outside stairwell and off he went.

I took two photos of him but they didn't turn out. I'm also having trouble with my Canon photo software right now but here's a photo of Lenny the Lizard running around my Dad's lanai about a year ago.

Just another day in Florida - AND..... I can sleep better tonight - LOL!

P.S. Is this a coincidence or what? It's 12:39 EST and I see www.herpsupplies.com ad at the top!

What the hey? Who is the reptilian monitaurus responsible for this? Meryl? LOL Just kidding!

I've seen the belly ads but somehow my mention of a lizard has sparked this ad? This is too freaky!

 
In Asia, they're considered good luck in your home. They are harmless and feast on insects.
