My labor of love this weekend....

Still need to tweak here and there....

four shells cracked during baking, indicating air bubbles inside the batter

and I need to work on piping them more homogeneously sized, and more perfectly round

but I feel I'm getting there - I got an online class from Craftsy and made the macarons watching the video, it was quite helpful - used normal meringue, not Italian.

 
They were great! Gone by now... just stopped at the office....

.... and got several emails complimenting the flavor

the lavender, I used very little - is barely noticeable, but it gave a little something something to the white chocolate ganache

all in all, a successful "experiment"
