It wasn't a cake in the rain, but it was just as bad.

I had a beautiful Ukrainian Sourdough culture going that was really wonderful. Yummy sour with a lovely hint of malt as it matured.

And I, not thinking, used all the dough in the dinner rolls for last night and forgot to save my wad of starter for the next batch.

Oh the humanity.

Time to start all over...

 
Oh if everyone knew what you went through to make the starter in the first place! A tragedy for sure

 
That was always my worst fear when I had my grape starter going.

Having not had it for a bunch of years, I am hankering to get it going again.

Only problem is finding outlets for the bread!

Richard, I can feel your pain. I've pulled stunts like that one, too, and it makes me so aggravated

at myself. I, too, hope a new starter will come out as good if not better for you!
