My next gift to myself is an All-Clad sauce pot: 1.5 QT or 2 QT?

I'm still on a mission to make perfect caramel and my tools have been severely lacking. Of course, people have made caramel with camel dung over an open fire, but that's them.

There used to be an All Clad Seconds store here in the outlets but they moved out many years ago. I think it's now in Pittsburg. Anyway - I usually get postcards with the yearly sale. This year a friend informed me and I did some major bank account damage.
