My Saturday Six

1) DH has promised to bake a chocolate cake today. I can't wait! smileys/smile.gif

2) We started the day with tea and home made waffels. It was delicious!

3) I invited one of my collegues for dinner today, but now it seems he won't be coming (something came up). And we have so much food! We'll be eating the same dinner for days now.

4) I hope DH will start making that chocolate cake soon...

5) I bought a brioche at a store yesterday and it tasted absolutely awful! And when we chewed it, it felt like rubber. It was not a pleasant experience.

6) I swear the grocery stores have turned up their prices after the financial crisis started. Yesterday I went grocery shopping and - besides the brioche and a box of chocolate - I bought nothing out of the ordinary. I still paid a whopping $300! I checked the receite twice, but it looks right to me. It's twice the amount I normaly spend when grocery shopping on Fridays. I can't believe the food prices anymore!

 
My Saturday/Sunday Six - NEW WASHER - YEAH!!!!!!!!

1) Waiting anxiously for the new washer and dryer to arrive - should be here any minute!!! Then LOADS of laundry to catch up on.

2) Invited to Canning for a Cause on Tuesday so trying to figure out what recipes and items in season to bring.

3) My friend finally got engaged Thursday night so now I have to talk to the bride to be about either an engagment party or mixed gender shower.

4) That means I need to get hopping on some projects around the house - new living room furnitue (found a set at the warehouse sale last weekend - just have to convince DH), painting for sure, OH - need to plant some mums and pansies for sure now, hmmmm

5) It's beautiful and I'm stuck here waiting on the washer and dryer. All the good Saturday morning farmers market folks will be gone before I can get to the market.

6) Wondering what to cook this weekend.
