My sister called today & said her turkey this year was the best ever & a tky hater ate 2 portions

Here's what she did.

She bought a free range turkey. She soaked in Kosher salt in the sink over night.

The next morning she rinsed it well and rubbed olive oil all over it.

Then she put it in a baking bag according to directions.

 
Any time you can get a turkey hater to eat seconds....

you have accomplished something.
I also bought a fresh bird, but mine was kosher, os it had already been "brined".
I cooked it yesterday, and it was fantastic. (We had T-Day dinner at a restaurant, so I needed some "deja food")

I've managed over the years to get avowed haters of some veggies to eat them and love it by simply changing the way they are cooked.
My mother will eat sweet potatoes if they are roasted with herbs and olive oil, and folks who claim to hate brussels sprout will eat them if served with lemon butter, or roasted with a yummy glaze....like sherry or balsamic vinegar.
