My sister from Audubon, MN, who's coming for a visit on Thursday, called to say it is -38 degrees.

I lost a turkey out in the front yard once, covered in snow. March came and

we had a nice turkey dinner that next weekend.) honest

Honestly, I can't even imagine cold like that. I've been griping that it's not supposed to be

in the eighties in January. Our summers may be brutal but you never have to shovel sunshine.

SO SORRY. We blew that arctic air down your way. It's in the 20s and near 30 today. yay, but

frozen water pipes are letting loose with their water.

Hi Sweetie, was worried how you can stand all that at once, heat wave and running water! here

in Baja Alaska. it's in the 40's, but still have glaciers from the snow that got rained on and then froze. As you know, that is 1000 times worse than just snow?

Why the hell did I chose to stay home this winter?
Nan
