My thanks to GeorgiaRose for advice on Tuxedo Strawberries

Your instructions simplified how I was going to make them and it took about 30 minutes to finish 50.

I used Lindt white chocolate for the base, but copped out and used coating chocolate for the dark top, as my tempering skills still leave much to be desired. Individually they look rather messy (phases of the process are shown in the lower right corner:

but I placed the prettiest ones in rows in a heart mold and they looked like a tuxedo'd troupe from a Busby Berkley musical dancing down stairs. (Sorry, no photo of this.)

Here's a (blurry) photo of a finished trio:

They were a big hit, but I suspect that anything would have been a big hit after 30 bottles of wine are consumed.

Nicely Done Mar! Such patience and time! I am sure they were enjoyed and great for conversation!

aw, sweetie, that's nice, but here's an actual conversation at the party:

We arrived a bit late and everyone had already started in on 30 bottles of wine (there were about 40 people there).

I put the strawberries in their heart pan down on a counter and went to mingle. About an hour later, I walked back by the counter to get yet another bottle of water out of the frig (my not-so-secret method of avoiding a hangover) and a man grabbed my arm. He pointed to the (now empty) pan and slurred: "I want to get your picture with the strawberries" and pointed to the pan. I looked at the empty pan and then back to him, smiled, and he slurred again: "Stand next to the little tuxedos. I want to get your picture." Another man standing next to us slurred: "But they're all gone!"

And the two of them proceeded to ARGUE about where the tuxedoes had gone to.

I snuck out through the back hallway while they were still having this "conversation."

Too funny!!! I guess it could have been worse, they could both have had a strawberry in their

hand and used it like a puppet, talking to each other! : )
