First I want to thank Missy for her extraordinary super sleuthing skills. And Cheezz for the offer to help. I had spent months e-mailing, calling (her number is now owned by someone else), etc.
Over the past few years, Nan has been dealing with some health issues. While she was based in Alaska, she occasionally had treatment in Seattle and we'd get together. When I couldn't reach her, I was worried sick, and sadly, began trolling for obituary notices.
Thankfully Missy tracked her down, and I was able to speak with Nan today.
In the most recent events, Nan has been dealing with seizures, a stroke, and then the doctor found 4 'tiny' brain tumors. In her usual cheery self, she said, "All I can say is, don't let a neurosurgeon give you a hair cut!"
She's hoping the doctor will clear her to go back to work, but for now, she's staying here: http://www.peacehealth.org/about-peacehealth/Pages/contact-peacehealth.aspx
