Nancy Fuller from Farmhouse Rules made a pork roast today...

that caught my attention. This was in celebration of her farmhouse that turned 250 years old. She kept the original floors, and a few other things as pointed out with a brief tour of the home between cooking segments.

This recipe is easy, and I think it would be delicious. I will be trying this soon. I must say I am not a fan of that show, but this one today grabbed me. Served with fresh, homemade applesauce and it would be a great meal I would have to add garlic in there somewhere, maybe some whole cloves with the fresh herbs?

I do something similar with a pork loin roast. I trim it of silverskin, and then coat liberally...

...with fresh cracked black pepper. Then I wrap in thick cut bacon and put it on the grill over an indirect fire. I put a pan underneath it to catch the drippings and take it off when the thickest part registers 145º F on my thermometer.

I tent with foil for 15 minutes and carve.

The slices freeze well, and they taste like the best deli you can buy.

Oh, and we get the pork loins for around $1.77 per pound quite regularly, at Kroger.

I loved the idea of the herbs under the bacon. I also thought it cool that one could

cut the slices and each would have a slice of bacon around it.. Or do you cut it thinner that that?

Just watched this show, learned so much from watching her wrap with bacon. I usually have a hard

time with it whether I'm using bacon or prosciutto and it never looks neat. Her method is great, especially doing it in the pan you're going to cook it in.
