I've been doing the pre-T-day refrigerator and oven cleaning smileys/smile.gif Found this neat tip for cleaning the window.

(it also worked on that edge of the oven that the self clean never seems to get clean...

Make a paste of baking soda and water--consistency of thick batter. Spread on the window and areas that aren't clean. Wait 30 mins, wipe down, polish. Really works!

If there are still small spots, scrape with a bench scraper.

Yep, that is what I use! My main cleaning products are baking soda, and regular white

vinegar with a little vinegar based glass plus thrown in. I turn the oven on self-clean first, but there is always the gunk on the window and that space in the front of the oven bottom that never gets cleaned well.

John has been cleaning the stove for me, (there is a plus to him being

around) and he just cleaned the inside of the door and the bottom and he used the glass top cleaner that is for glass top stoves. It's called Cerama Bryte and he just puts it on and lets it dry completely (10 to 15 min.) and then uses a dry cloth to take it off and it all comes right off.
