Need Advice on Selling cookies

I have been making gorgeous decorated sugar cookies for every holiday for years. I use Penny's recipe and glaze them and then sprinkle with crystal sugars. I get tons of compliments on them and was thinking of selling them, just in my condo building and maybe at work. I was thinking of selling them by the dozen for Easter in a cute box. Any idea what I should charge per dozen? Am I crazy? I just love making them and it would be great to make some extra money!

When I was doing crafts I was told the rule of thumb is to figure all your expenses...

then double it for the final price. Well... for any of us who have made crafts, you know no one would be able to afford your art smileys/smile.gif

i usually do a 3x costs calculation - but for time-consuming things like these, you need to make it>

Fran, my sister bakes and sells her cookies and quick breads

to some local independant coffee shops/houses. I will find out how much she charges and how she figures it out. I think she bakes once a week and delivers them to the businesses.
