Need Catering info in San Francisco ASAP

My friend has a bit of an emergency. Her cousin is getting married in 2 weeks at The Box, in SF. They just found out that the caterer that they chose went bankrupt and took off with their deposit. They live in Dallas and made a special trip to find their venue and caterer but now they don't know what to do. I would appreciate any advice you could offer. Thank you in advance, Lori

Have you checked their approved list of caters already?

In looking at their contract using someone else could result in higher fees.

If Paul's person doesn't work out, I'm hoping Pat/NoCal jumps in here, she may know some in SF proper. My nephew-in-law is a caterer in the east bay, if push comes to shove I can check to see if he'll go into the city or I can check with some of my corporate contacts of who they use up there.

But as Maria mentioned, I'd definitely check with The Box to make sure you don't need to use one of their approved caterers.

 
I wonder if this thief was one of the "approved" caterers and if The Box has some liability??
