It's not necessarily clever, but how about in different languages? Bon Anniversaire,

Feliz Cumpleanos, etc.

Its a stretch, but can you incorporate your churchs initials into the cake; HBC = Happy B-day Calley

Just an example, but you know what I mean. Combining the church initials w/ the cake..... I know, it is a stretch.

Spell out your phrase WITH the cupcakes. I did that for a 50th birthday at work.

Of course, HE got to be the first one to mess up the message.
