I have just started yet another education class. The lecturer has divided us into groups and ordained that each group should provide dinner once during the course. My group is responsible for next week, and we decided (don't ask me why) to provide crockpot fondue, and I am bringing it. We will also have salad and dessert.
I have looked up recipes, and there are several easy ones which depend on canned cheese soup. I have tasted canned cheese soup. My other problem is that I have to rush from work to get to the course on time, so there is no prep time.
So... can anyone suggest a good recipe? I need to feed 25 people (I have a large 6qt crockpot). Also, will the recipe heat up in the pot in an hour, or should I start it off in the microwave at school, and finish it in the pot at the class?
I am going to hack up several baguettes to serve with it, and probably get small cocktail sausages and broccoli as well.
I was thinking of just ladling the fondue into individual bowls, to prevent a crush around the bowl, and allow them to eat with spoons or forks.
Any suggestions very gratefully received.
