Need help with turkey failure......

I roasted a turkey yesterday with the plan of having it for dinner last night after saving the breast slices to make Sally OH's Turkey Divan for Christmas night. I bought a fresh, Butterball turkey at Costco and roasted it until 170 degrees, let it rest well too. Well the breast meat is drier than dry and I am wondering if I should deep six it all and plan something else for dinner or will the baking in that delicious cheesy/creamy sauce rescue it enough to make it passable? Only 3 on us but I would like it to be good.

Is the breast already sliced? I'm wondering if storing it with a little turkey or chicken broth

sprinkled or brushed over it would help. You don't want to make it soggy, just moisten it a little. I've stored leftover corned beef in it's cooking water and it helps keep it moist. I don't know Sally's Turkey Divan recipe, but I've been making one from Betty Crocker for years and I think it would still be good if you can get a little moisture into the slices. Just my opinion, I hope someone can give more help.

one breast is whole and the other sliced. I did put some juices over it before I stored it. I have

just decided it is going to be fine! I worry too much with relatives I guess. Sally's recipe is from this site and I love it. Thanks for your early morning reply and Happy Holidays to you.

I think it will be fine, too. I'm also going through the cooking for relatives thing and

have agonized and stressed far too much. I looked up Sally's recipe, it's the same one I use. Merry Christmas!
