Need interesting canning recipes for peaches and apples...

I'll be getting very ripe peaches and apples soon. I've done the Ball Canning recipes for peach jam and apple butter. The peach jam was ok but blah... it needed something - don't know what. I've done apple butter in the past and I'll do more of that, but anything else with the apples?

Tess, scroll up to 20417 for a peach jam recipe Steve gave me. Very good.

As for apples I bet you could search out some nice chutney recipes if you like chutney.

Remember the Apple Pie in a Jar? that was a fun one.

You use the really large canning jars and when you want to make a pie you just slide the whole thing (without the jar!!) into piecrust and bake!
