I was going to make a punch for the neighborhood NYE party I am throwing. I was wondering if anyone has a recipe for a festive non-alcoholic punch. I am guessing the audience for this drink will be the kids. The overwhelming majority of adults will be enjoying adult beverages.

Thanks.

Kathleen

Served this last week, and it is delicious! Be sure to make the tea strong, 12 tsp loose tea in

1 quart water. This makes 1 gallon of punch, (4 quarts) and each quart can be mixed with one quart of ginger ale to make one batch.

My notes: I didn't serve in a punch bowl. I halved the ginger ale. I just served it from a pitcher. My non-drinkers thought it was very good. After the non-drinkers left, DH and I spiked our glasses with Cruzan Estate Dark Rum, and it was REALLY good! This recipe is from T&T above.

Here's one that was posted by Melissa Dallas: Banana Slush Punch

BANANA SLUSH PUNCH

From the poster: "I sub one 6 oz can lemonade and 1 6 oz limeade for the 12 oz lemonade."

You can make this recipe ahead of time and store it in the freezer for up to 3 months..."

INGREDIENTS:

* 6 cups water
* 1-1/2 cups sugar
* 5 ripe bananas, peeled
* 46 oz. can unsweetened pineapple juice
* 12 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
* 12 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
* 2-1/2 quarts ginger ale or 7-Up

PREPARATION:

In large saucepan, heat water and sugar to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and cool completely. In large bowl, mash bananas and blend with some of the pineapple juice. Strain through mesh strainer. Then add cooled sugar syrup and remaining juices (NOT ginger ale or 7Up). Freeze in a 5-quart freezer container, stirring once during the freezing process.

To serve, let frozen mixture stand at room temperature for 1-2 hours until softened. Transfer to punch bowl, and add ginger ale. You can also make individual servings of this by scooping frozen mixture into glasses, filling 1/2 full, then filling the remainder of the way with ginger ale or 7-Up.

50 servings.

Here's one from my files: Champagne Punch (non-alcoholic)

CHAMPAGNE PUNCH (NON-ALCOHOLIC)

2 liters (8 1/2 cups) white grape juice (for a more intense flavour use 2 cans white grape juice frozen concentrate)
1 liter (4 1/4 cups apple juice
2 liters ginger ale (8 1/2 cups)
ice, ring
1 liter (4 1/4 cups apple juice or white grape juice) (or less)
water

1. The night before, or sooner, place the apple juice in the ice ring mold and fill with water.
2. If you want your ice ring to last longer, use 1/2 the apple juice and the rest water, as juice tends to take less time to thaw.
3. To serve, mix rest of ingredients in punch bowl and add ice ring.

Makes about 5 liters (about 21 1/8 cups)
