Need some cocktail help, please. Having a party and I'd like to do a special drink.

We have a ton of blueberries and I thought I'd make a blueberry lemon syrup and mix it with thyme infused vodka or gin and maybe a splash of seltzer. Do you think I should cook the syrup down until it's thick or just make a simple syrup?

 
Depends on how sweet the blueberries are. If they're really tart, you might just add

the simple syrup to that.

I have a reduced blueberry syrup from Whole Foods that you use to make bluebery juice by adding water. It's way too tart to just add to foods.

I thought it would ramp up the 'blueberriness' of my pie.

It didn't.

By the way, I still have the Peruvian bark, so you're more than welcome to some.

I did crush the berries and added the simple syrup and lemon juice. It's really good. Not

too sweet or tart.

Thanks for the offer but I wouldn't get it in time to make the shots! Really nice of you!
