Need to find kitchen food plastic storage containers with same size lids

My husband's latest frustration rant: "the Glad container lids don't match the Ziplock container lids which don't match the Tupperware container lids, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera" said the King of Siam.

"I can never figure out what to use."

I know I saw a system that has 3 or 4 different heights of containers, but the same lids fits them all.

THAT'S what I need.

Does anyone know what it's called and where I can get it?

Thanks.

Marilyn, I use Lock n Lock containers and they are fabulous. If you

log on to QVC and search Lock n Lock you will see all the size containers that are available. Also they are air tight and I can store food in the fridge for quite a long time in them. I store my sugar, flours, cereal, crackers,etc.etc.and everything stays fresh and crisp. Walmart carries some sizes also. Try www.heritagemint.com and you can order on line, or call them and they will send you the sizes you want or need. Very nice company to deal with too. Hope this helps.

Me too Joe! Can't beat them...

Ever since I started culinary school and we used them so extensively, I started buying these and they all use the same lid. I reuse them over and over and over and don't worry about the cost of it when I take food to people.

I love how she uses the Chinese takeout boxes for individual servings at picnics and gifts

LOL, wouldn't you love to see her REAL fridge? Yes, they're the same. I don't re-use them much...

I mitigate the guilt by tossing them in the recycling bin.

I should mention, they stack well in the fridge too.

The lids they had this last time were not very 'reusable'...

they switched to a different lid that is a clear lid that is more brittle so it will be interesting to see how they hold up. May have to switch to another food service vendor. Might try your online source.

According to the health department here, we were in violation by re-using them. But we use them as containers for our mise en place and we rarely use them to heat which is what really destroys them.

I adore Ina, but when she opens that fridge I always think, ok this is a set, or where is her other

fridge. Of course, she probably markets daily and doesn't have the collection of store bought dressings and mayo and ketchup and pickles and produce etc, etc that I have.

yep, I never nuke plastics. there are only a few things I do nuke and could probably live without

the microwave. it would give me room for another fish tank.... '-))
