New cookbook...

I was lying down in the backseat on our way home from Chicago listening to a podcast of Splendid Table, They were introducing new cookbooks, each of which sounded amazing, and I was on my mobile ordering each one from the Cincinnati Library as they introduced it (not much else to do driving through the big cornfield known as Indiana).

I've been making some new dishes out of "Dandelion and Quince" by Michelle McKenzie: Wonderful "unusual" ingredient cookbook. The tomatillo "Green Fish Stew" is delicious. Smoked Fig Leaves? Pulverize them into sugar and use for shortbread.

 
Just looked it up on Amazon; the Shinko pear and buttermilk sorbet sounds fun!

Thanks for the heads up on this book. I'm going to order it from our library.
