New Neighbors! I want to take some of my canned goods plus what?

I was thinking of taking some jam, dilly beans, chili sauce and maybe jalapeno pepper jelly. I was thinking some sort of quick bread and maybe homemade crackers. Does anyone have suggestions as to what to make? TIA

 
Muffins in a basket, like Bree on Desparate Housewives? With a pretty bow, and a jar of your

homemade jam would be perfect to welcome a new neighbor. How nice of you to do that, whatever you take!

 
That's a lovely idea, Abby. You could bake some up to give (the recipe you use

will likely yield more than 1 log anyway) and gift them with half of the finished product, then a cookie log to freeze for future baking.

 
Include recipes for how to use that chili sauce and pepper jelly... I always appreciate that smileys/smile.gif

 
They will be so stunned at the attention that anything at all will do. A "muffin basket" reminds

me of Chris Moltisanti in "Sopranos" whose feelings were hurt that his gift of a "muffin basket" did not produce the results he expected in Hollywood. And with the "Sopranos" there's not usually a happy outcome. OK, OK, before the Anti-defamation league gets it's knickers in a twist, I'm an old Italian lady who secretly admires both the Sopranos and the Godfathers--so there!
