Hey All... Just a quick request. Looking for something for a Christmas Brunch. I do it every year. It's alway the same ole thing. Overnight casseroles, with sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese. Have had all the oven baked french toast, I can stand. I don't have any idea what I'm looking for, but will take any suggestions anybody reading this has. Thanks Katrina

Welcome, Katrina! There are lots of brunch ideas posted here; click on the "T&T Hall of Fame" above

and scroll down to "Breakfast."

Another idea: on Easter I did a waffle bar--I made a bunch of batter, put the waffle iron out in the garden with a choice of toppings, and let everyone make their own. I did a ham too but the waffles would have been fine by themselves.

Welcome Katrina! Here's a link to "Baked Pears with Sausage" that was

posted by Traca a while back that several of us have tried and liked very much. We all agreed that they would be best served as part of a buffet so it might interest you. They are super easy.

How about a Christmas brunch tea? You could have scones, little sandwiches, cookies,

tea, coffee... most you can make ahead. Let me know if you need more specifics or recipes!

I had an appetizer party last night and out of 14 dishes...this was a clear winner: Artichoke Nibble

It was served in 2" triangles and I think it would be a wonderful addition to a brunch table:

Artichoke Nibbles

12 oz. jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped (save liquid)
1/4 c. chopped green onions
1 clove minced garlic (I use two...smileys/smile.gif

4 eggs, beaten
1/4 to 1/2 c. fresh breadcrumbs
1 c. chopped parsley
2 TBS. white wine
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

2 cups grated cheese: cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan

Saute artichokes, onions and garlic in some of the oil from the artichokes. Beat eggs, add wine, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper and sauteed vegetables. Mix in the cheese. Pour in 7 x 11 baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes. Let cool, and cut. And, of course, eat.

Joe, I'm so glad to hear you did the Waffle Brunch. I've been meaning to try it.

Have you had the Pierre Hermes Lemon Cream? I keep thinking with some fruit, it would be positively delish on a waffle!

Re: Very Impressive - feel free to go on a dinner party kick soon

I have two dinner parties in the next month and am always searching this board for good ideas (that a moderate cook can handle).

I'm trying the beaujolais coffee cake for the first time on Wednesday for my bridge group. Thanks for reinforcing that you like it as well.
