hasn't had time to fix it.

DJ is fine, although he was wounded by a stray bullet. it went into his shoulder and (I foget exactly why) they aren't going to remove it. at least not over there. aka, he's gonna have one heck of time going through metal dectors at airports! the most important thing is that he is healing and won't have any permanent problems from the wound... whoo hooo!

Cici had postponed her wedding for a year so that her brother can be there at her side.

Marg is doing great and is happy. it was great talking with her and catching up. she'll post when she gets the puter fixed or gets a new one.

hugs to all....

It's so good to hear that Marg is fine. I hope that DJ's injury means that he's coming home

for good this time. Thanks for filling us in, Randi.

This post reminds me of what a family we are here...

I try to explain to my husband, but he doesn't understand.
I am so happy to hear the DJ is okay, and I wish him a safe passage home. Hugs to you Marg.

Randi, Thank you so much for letting us know and I wish DJ a speedy recovery. Happy to hear Marg is

good and look forward to her posting.

Thanks so much for the update....I have been thinking about her...Please let her know how much she

is missed and best wishes for DJ on a full recovery. His service as well as all of the troups are so much appreciated.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to bring a smile to his face!!

Regards,
Barb

Randi, I was wondering why I hadn't heard from her. Please give her my family's...

...encouragement, and let her know we still pray for her, DJ, and her entire family every day.

Thank God DJ will be fine!

no, thankfully the wound isn't severe enough to get him home. he'll be home in

either Oct or Feb. I'm not sure which cause we talked for at an hour with lots of catching up stuff.

Marg will clarify when she gets a chance to get on line.

I was reading the responses and Dawn is so right about family. when I started

posting on Gail's, DJ was a "googey" 12 year old with a big smile and bigger heart. now he's a handsome young man with the same smile and heart.

us "old timers" here have watched him grow up, along with many other swapper's children. when I think about, it's pretty amazing. there have been so many friendships made over the years that have enriched our lives and hearts.

I'm so grateful to Mimi and Finer Kitchens for giving us a place to continue the sharing and the caring.

Randi, please tell Marg that I hope all goes well and that DJ heals soon.

Last night I dreamed that they reinstated the draft for this war and that my husband's number was next. I woke up in a sweat with the sheet wrapped around my neck. It was a very high anxiety dresm--really more of a nightmare, I guess.

Does you DH worry about internet whackos too?? LOL. Mine has misgivings whenever I meet an FK

friend, but it's a brief misgiving. Although, he is the first to invite anyone to visit us up here. Go figure.

No, but why wait until Christmas? Lots of us sent things to DJ two Christmases ago and he was so

appreciative. I've asked Randi to scout out his address for some convalescence goodies.

I think adopting a troop might be more complicated because these days you need to have the names of the troops, but maybe Marg could help with that, too.

hi guys, I just left a message for Marg to get on someone's computer so you can

have the info on sending stuff to DJ and she can fill in on stuff herself smileys/smile.gif
