NFR.......a computer question

I just got a new computer with Microsoft Vista. For a week now, I have been trying to find the "sent mail" folder in Windows Mail. This is driving me crazy. I got my email all set up with my ISP and it is working fine. I have an inbox and a deleted box, but no sent box. Do any Vista users have some advice?

In Windows Mail Local Folders you should find six sub-folders....>>>>....

In Windows Mail Local Folders you should find
six sub-folders, labeled:

Inbox
Outbox
Sent Items
Deleted Items
Drafts
Junk E-mail

If you don't have a "Sent Items" folder,
click on "File", click on "New", click
on "Folder" and type "Sent Items" in the
"Folder name" field and click "OK".

Then click on "Tools", click on "Options",
click on the "Send" tab, and put a check
in the box that says "Save copy of sent
messages in the 'Sent Items' folder",
click on "Apply", then click "OK".

You should be in business.

Scott, thanks so much for your prompt and precise relpy. I did what you

said, and while I do have a Sent Items folder, the sent are not going into it. Gosh, this windows Vista is so work intensive. I do like challenges but I sure hate the searching all over the place to find what I used to know was where it is no longer!!!!!

Karen, I don't have Vista, but...

could there be an option in your mail program's settings/preferences/options for saving a copy of outgoing messages?

For example in Outlook under Tools > Options > E-mail Options you have to check the box next to "Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder".
