We're taking the cruise around the islands for our 25th anniversary. What, in your opinion, is the "not to be missed" experience on Kauai? Or other ports for that matter...

We're doing research and setting up the trip and budgets...or is that allotments??

in Nawiliwili I will be better armed to give you advice. The very best of the best experiences for those here only a short period of time is the helicopter tour over the island. There is nothing more spectacular than Kauai by air. It is quite expensive- I think about $250/person for an hour but oh, so worth it. Second best in my opinion is to rent a car and drive around to the beaches. I will be glad to help- PM me and let me know your itinerary. I can help on the other islands too- and I bet Sandi will help too.

 
We did the helicopter ride over Kaua'i in 2004, spectacular...though,

I was a bit white-knuckled as I'd never been in a helicopter before...make SURE you tell them the truth about how much you weigh! LOL but seriously when we made the reservations, they asked about our weights, so important for safety! Truly, Kaua'i has some remote areas that are so unspoiled...you just want them to REMAIN that way.

 
The Kauai helicopter tour is unforgettable.

We did the one where they take the doors of the helicopter, then fly you to a secluded lagoon, complete with waterfall, where you can swim and eat lunch. A little chilly in February, but nothing was going to keep me out of that water!

I wanted to check now is to see what part of my court settlement I keep for Hawaii....and how much goes into my kitchen now!
